| Bio: | Artist/Illustrator/Photographer. Former East Village denizen now living in NC with my saintly partner. Often very nice, but sometimes a bitch. Especially when threatned. Born and raised in Fort Green/Clinton Hill, Brooklyn NY. Moved to Manhattan @ 18 years old when I got my first (dive) apartment. Remained devouted to poor Manhattan living (350 sq. ft., bathtub in the kitchen, walkups, etc.) for the next century. Yes I'm kinda old. I'm not bitter. I'm also exploring the anti-bear movement ie, be who you are, do not commercially exploit who people are. Went to art school and played drums in a few East Village 80s and early 90s rock and funk and 'no-wave' bands. http://www.frankdunn.net/music.html Played CBGBs, Peppermint Lounge, Dancetertia, Pyramid, Tramps and other assorted dives. Got tired of lugging a drum kit around and went back to visuals. Monogamously partnered to a great guy, previously partnered for 18 years to another great man, whom I lost very unexpetedly. Things I like: Humor, chatting, music, art, the mtns., city and the ocean. Nice people, honesty, people that can communicate, cuddling, exploring new places, fast food, canolis, BBQ, sushi, lasagna, beer, exchanging ideas and clever repartee.... 70s 80s and 90s and current music including most indie; Beck, Beatles, Stones, Zep, funky dance music, Bowie, Echo and the Bunnymen, Madonna, Simple Minds, Psychedelic Furs, Au Pairs, the Slits, PYLON, Bush Tetras.... Kula Shaker. Things I don't like include: no sense of humor, people that are good at self-marketing but have no talent, "professional (clone) bears", The Bear Scene is pretty much over anyway. Gays that claim to want equality and equal rights but dont do a thing to help that cause. Republicans=YUCK I am currently involved in political, social and gay right's organization's struggles to attain legal and equal civil rights for people in the USA. my LJ is Adults only.
